Healthy Holiday Eating Tip #1:

The bottom line for anyone who wants to keep a grip on their weight and not pack on any more pounds during these year-end holidays or any holiday is: Don’t let yourself get seduced by your favorite foods and drinks. It’s SO not worth it. Eat them in total moderation when you have to.

Holiday Happenings are just excuses to keep eating more, to keep wallowing in the same old behavior that got you in trouble in the first place.

Tell me I'm wrong.

It’s up to you to break the cycle of allowing yourself the excuse to continue gorging and packing it in till the day after when those ugly, unhealthy, unwanted pounds will surely puff out your face, tummy, hips and big butt.

Remember: you wear exactly what you eat.

A heaping tablespoon of your favorite food should do you, and then let that be it! Why do you need more?

Make “Walk and weigh every single day” your health and fitness mantra through all holidays, birthdays, Super Bowl and beyond.

One very important aspect of motivation is to find the willingness to stop and realistically look at exactly what you’re eating and the way you’re behaving that keeps your weight on, and do something about it.

This simple process of focusing on foods that you normally take for granted, like what you think is healthy eating, is a powerful source for improved health, wellness, happiness and creativity.”

Get creative – make these Holiday Eating Survival Tips your own.

Your New Mantra: EAT LESS CARBS – DO MORE DAILY CARDIO.
You’ll be glad you did!
And there are NO excuses.

Happy Holidays to all and to all a good night!

Holiday Eating Survival Tip #2:

Always stop, think, and look at what you’re eating.

There isn’t a person on earth who couldn’t lose their unhealthy, unwanted weight once and for all by cutting the harmful white starchy, sugary carbs from their diet and by developing walking into a daily, lifelong habit. All this is guaranteed to help keep your weight off forever - if you want to.

Deep down, you know what to do and exactly how to do it. If you don’t, you should buy my new book and enroll in one of my “Commit To Get Fit” motivational weight loss and wellness classes – prontito!

If and when you slip up, stop, cease and desist immediately. Do NOT use the excuse, “What the hell, might as well finish off that last piece of pecan praline pie and smother it in real whipped cream, while I’m at it. How much worse can things get at this point?”

Ha! You really want me to tell you? All you have to do is get on the scale and then you’ll see for yourself. No one else will have to tell you.

Holiday Eating Survival Tip #3:

GET OUT AND WALK AFTER THE BIG MEAL!

Do the dishes for the hostess/host, then drag her/him out with you. Most will welcome the walk, the help, and the fresh air.

You cannot exercise away a bad diet, but taking that walk after a big, holiday or birthday meal will certainly help keep the extra pounds at bay.

I absolutely refuse to let myself be fat ever again. I refuse to let my weight escalate more than 5 pounds at a time. The weight loss, wellness rewards and other benefits are way too wonderful to backslide because of food.

So, if and when you get carried away with what you’re eating, don’t beat yourself up. Begin again at the very next meal. If you find that you can’t help yourself and you eat like you’re gonna be shot at sunrise on Black Friday or New Year’s Day, well, I can’t help ya there – you’ve been forewarned.

I’m happy to share a few more of my personal favorite, tried-and-true, Healthy, Holiday Eating Survival Tips over the next two days, all the way to Christmas day!

It won’t be long now!

Holiday Eating Survival Tip #4
Host your own holiday party so you can control everything you eat - all of it.

Make sure you have plenty of tasty, low carb appetizers, salads, sides and desserts on hand.

And while you’re at it, be sure you serve Santa some scrumptious, low carb cookies with his 2% milk!

He could stand to lose a few in the New Year, too!

God knows - he certainly does enough daily cardio with all that climbing up and down chimney’s and such. Just needs a good, effective, healthy low carb diet to go hand in hand with his daily cardio.
